Early on, Roy discovered his love for the blues and slide guitar…and for making music that’s “deep and funky.” He discovered the great blues players early on, especially when his older brother brought home an album by Robert Johnson. Thus began his love of the blues, slide guitar in particular, which had an immediate effect on Roy. Friday night, May 3, from 6:30 to 9:30, World Records will host a mix of music, art, food, drink, and community.

This show will feature the artwork of two fine local artists — Amy Richardson and Kelly Wonderly —  gracing the walls of the World Records Theater. The Patrick O’Connell Trio, featuring Paul Perez on sax, and Mike Bhone on upright bass will perform. Hors d’oeuvres stations will be sprinkled around the theater, including slices of our wood oven pizza. Our regular selection of draft and bottled beer and wine, as well as many choices of non-alcoholic drinks, will be available for purchase.
