“Few artists can glide so effortlessly among genres, or cover as much emotional terrain as Rosanne Cash.”  – Morristown Green

One of the country’s pre-eminent singer/songwriters, Rosanne Cash has released 15 albums of extraordinary songs that have earned four GRAMMY Awards and nominations for 11 more. She is also an author whose four books include the best-selling memoir Composed, which the Chicago Tribune called “one of the best accounts of an American life you’ll likely ever read.” Her essays have appeared in The New York Times, Rolling Stone, the Oxford-American, the Nation and many more publications.

In addition to continual worldwide touring, Cash has partnered in programming or served as artist in residence at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, San Francisco Jazz, the Minnesota Orchestra and The Library of Congress.

She Remembers Everything – Get this at World Records!

Dreams still beckon in a damaged world, and Rosanne Cash renders them with fierce grace on She Remembers Everything, a studio recording arriving November 2 from Blue Note Records. The follow-up to Cash’s 2014 release The River & the Thread, recipient of 3 Grammys including Best Americana Album, the album offers shimmering pop—with hints of twang and jazz—that could find a home in almost any year of postwar American music. But the luminescence and bright production are shot through with a darker vision, trenchant vocals, minor chords, and bent notes that destabilize the landscape. Familiar yet alien, Cash’s take on being a woman in the world reveals just how much has gone awry.

She was awarded the SAG/AFTRA Lifetime Achievement award for Sound Recordings in 2012 and received the 2014 Smithsonian Ingenuity Award in the Performing Arts. She was chosen as a Perspective Series artist at Carnegie Hall and hosted four concerts during their 2015/16 season, and she continues her association as Creative Partner through the 2017/18 season.

In 2015, she was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters’ Hall of Fame.

On “The River and the Thread,” a collaboration with husband/co-writer/producer and arranger John Leventhal, Cash evokes a kaleidoscopic examination of the geographic, emotional, musical and historic landscape of the American South. The album garnered impressive worldwide acclaim and she received 3 Grammy Awards for it in 2015.

Her latest album, “She Remembers Everything”, from 2018.
New songs released in 2021 – “Crawl into the Promised Land”, The Killing Fields”.

Closing out the four decades Cash has spent as a recording artist, She Remembers Everything contains echoes of nearly all her previous styles. Listeners familiar with “Seven Year Ache” or Interiors will recognize the knowing ache of this record. Those who listened to recordings and live shows in subsequent years—which have included residencies at the San Francisco Jazz Center, Carnegie Hall, and the Library of Congress—will likewise find the literary voice that has framed her more recent music. Cash’s time focused on roots music also lends a classic form to her songwriting that makes it universal and timeless.

Four-time GRAMMY-winning singer-songwriter Rosanne Cash has released “The Killing Fields,” a powerful new song that reckons with the dark legacy of lynchings in the South. A limited-edition 7” vinyl release out April 9 will pair “The Killing Fields” with “Crawl Into The Promised Land,” an ode to the resilience of the human spirit that Cash released this past Fall in the frenetic lead-up to the 2020 U.S. election. Proceeds from THIS AUTOGRAPHED RECORD will be donated to the Arkansas Peace & Justice Memorial Movement, an educational online memorial to commemorate the victims of lynchings in the State of Arkansas in collaboration with the Equal Justice Initiative and Coming To The Table.

“A few years of my own personal reckoning with painful issues of race, racism, privilege, reconciliation, and individual responsibility led up to the moment in the summer of 2020, when finally no one could avert their eyes from the truth of white privilege in America, and the damage and sorrow caused by systemic racism. I wrote ‘The Killing Fields’ in that summer,” explains Cash. “All that came before us is not who we are now.”

“…that artists and musicians are not damaged outcasts of society, but indispensable members. We are in fact the premier service industry for the heart and soul. We cannot survive without music. It is the language everyone understands…” – Rosanne Cash
