CHEAP TRICK - BUDOKAN! buy (DVD/CD set - After 30 years of listening to, first the vinyl, and then the CD, it’s great to finally see the performance that broke the band in the U.S.A.)
CHARLIE HADEN FAMILY & FRIENDS - RAMBLING BOY buy (Only being aware of Mr. Haden from the jazz world, this collection of covers & original country/bluegrass music is a pleasant surprise. Knowing the back story also helps. His family got their start making music in this genre, so the inclusion of a radio recording at the age of 2 adds a certain charm. Also, how can you go wrong with having Elvis Costello & Jack Black as some of the ‘family & friends’!!!)

- PHOSPHORESCENT - TO WILLIE buy (tribute to Willie Nelson…great songs to drink and be sad to)
- BEASTIE BOYS - PAUL’S BOUTIQUE buy (man oh man…this album is such a gosh darn good time! There are so many references in this record, both lyrically and musically, to keep it interesting and exciting for years)
- MAN ON WIRE (DVD) (the story of a tightrope walker who dared to walk between the twin towers of the World Trade Center. Everyone should watch this film! Breathtaking…)
